Updating Your Profile

How to update your name, date of birth, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses in CareCard.

Keep your CareCard profile current so notifications reach you and your submissions stay linked to the right details.

How to update your profile

Your profile page (Profile in the account menu) is where you manage every part of your account: your name, date of birth, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses.

To edit a field, select the menu next to any section and choose the action you want — for example Update Name:

Changing your email

To add another email address (useful if you want a backup sign-in address), select Add next to Email Addresses and enter the new address. Newly added addresses need their own eight-character verification code before they're marked Verified. Until a new address is verified, keep using your current email to log in.

Date of birth — read this before you set it

The Date of Birth row works differently from every other profile field, so pay attention here:

  • Adding it the first time is always available. If the row shows Not provided, select Add to open the dialog and enter your date of birth.

  • You can only change it within 30 days (1 month) of creating your account. The 30-day window starts counting from your account creation date — not from the day you happened to add your date of birth. If you register today and add your date of birth two weeks later, you still only have until day 30 from registration to fix a mistake.

  • After that 30-day window closes, the edit option disappears — there is no error message, warning, or "locked" label. The Update action next to Date of Birth simply stops showing up in the menu. If you don't see an edit option, that's why.

  • Once saved, your date of birth is shown masked (e.g. ****/**/15) by default. Select the eye icon next to it to reveal or hide the full date.

Because of the 30-day limit, double-check your date of birth carefully the first time you enter it. If you make a mistake and it's past the 30-day window, you'll need to contact support to have it corrected — you cannot fix it yourself from the Profile page anymore.

Good to know

  • Keep your full name on your profile exactly matching your official documents — mismatches are a common reason submissions get rejected.
  • You can update your name, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses at any time from the Profile page — there's no need to contact support for routine changes.
  • Date of birth is the one exception: it can be added anytime, but once set, it can only be corrected within 30 days of registration. Get it right the first time.
